Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information the Futbalist mobile application (the “App”, “we”, “us”) collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the App, you agree to this policy.

1. Information we collect

We do not ask for your real name, email address, or password to use the App. We collect the following:

Category	Details
Anonymous account identifier	On first launch, the App creates an anonymous sign-in via Firebase Authentication. This is a random identifier and is not linked to your real-world identity by us.
Profile information	An optional display name, username, and profile photo that you choose to provide.
Content you create	Chat messages, photos you upload to chat, reactions, replies, predictions, and lineup/substitution selections.
Preferences	Your favourite teams and leagues, and users you have blocked.
Reports	If you report content, we store the reported message, the reason, and the identifiers of the reporting and reported users, for moderation.
Push notification token	If you enable notifications, a device token so we can send match and chat alerts.
Technical data	Standard information processed by our service providers, such as device and app version details and IP address, used to operate and secure the service.

We do not collect your precise location, contacts, or payment information, and we do not use the App to serve third-party advertising.

2. How we use your information

• To provide core features: chat, predictions, favourites, and match content.
• To moderate content and enforce our Terms — including reviewing reports, removing content, and blocking or removing abusive users.
• To send notifications you have enabled.
• To maintain the security, reliability, and performance of the App.

3. Service providers

We rely on trusted third parties to run the App:

• Google Firebase (Authentication, Firestore, Storage, Cloud Functions, and Cloud Messaging) — hosts our data and infrastructure. See Google’s privacy policy at firebase.google.com/support/privacy.
• Football data provider — supplies match, fixture, and statistical data. This is data delivered to the App and does not involve sharing your personal information.
• Email delivery provider — used to send our moderation team an alert when content is reported.

We do not sell your personal information.

4. Data retention

We retain your content and preferences for as long as they are needed to operate the App. Reports and moderation records may be kept longer where needed to keep the community safe or to comply with legal obligations.

5. Your choices and rights

• You can edit or remove your display name and profile photo in the App.
• You can delete your own messages, and block or unblock other users.
• You can turn notifications on or off in your device settings.
• To request deletion of your data, contact us at the address below.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. Contact us to exercise them.

6. Children

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country, if higher), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with information, contact us and we will delete it.

7. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above.
